8th Annual Adam Smith Ukrainian Banking Forum

The 8th annual Adam Smith Ukrainian Banking Forum took place November 12 - 14, 2013 in comfortable atmosphere of the InterContinental Hotel. More than 200 leading representatives of the financial sector of Ukraine, Russia, Europe and other countries from around the world attended the Forum. Alexander Polyanchuk, a Managing Partner of Alex Polin, was one of the guests of the annual business event.

During the Forum participants discussed current matters of banking sector related to the recent market trends, namely: particular qualities of government regulation and possible changes in the regulatory environment within the next few years; closing up of foreign investors` lines of business and changes in the ownership structure of banks associated with these processes; aspects of bank mergers and acquisitions in terms of the buyers and sellers of banking institutions.

A strategic seminar on maintaining the highest quality of customer service while reducing expenses was held for the first time as a part of the Ukrainian Banking Forum. During discussion of the unique practical cases the speakers detailed their approaches of business managing, and provision of the first-class services to customers while maintaining efficiency.
