Alex Polin Participated in Business Wisdom Summit

On September 26-27, 2013, Premier Palace Hotel and itselegant atmosphere playedhost to a unique business project–Business Wisdom Summit–organized by Investgazeta and Ekonomika Communication Hub. Alex Polin Managing Partner Alexander Polyanchuk and Communications Director NataliyaSichevskaya visited the event.

Speakers of the Summit were such influential leaders as Boris Krasnyansky, Group DF; Kirill Rubinski, EastOne; Igor Liski, Effective Investments; GrazianoCameli, Ukrsotsbank -UniCreditBank; RostislavShurma, Zaporozhstal; Nick Piazza, SP Advisors; TorbenMajgaard, Ciklum; VyacheslavKlimov, NovajaPochta and others.

In the form of sincere, 20-minute conversations, top-managers and business owners told summit participants about their professional and personal experience, their lessons learnt and most fascinating revelations, which significantly influenced their establishing in business.

“A successful top-manager is a person that is incredibly dedicated to his idea, ready to fight for it, to be fully stretched, and aspire. He makes sure to surround himself with a talented team, which shares all his successes and failures, supports and inspires him. It is an effective, cohesive team that is the biggest treasure of any top manager. At the same time, it is a reflection of his internal values and personal efficiency. For only an integral and structured leader can retain the same personalities for a long time,” Kirill Rubinski noted in his presentation.

“Success is the internal sensation of harmony when you have achieved everything you wanted. Some call it a childhood dream; I call it harmony. When you are in harmony with yourself and others, when you are happy, doing your favorite business and glow from the inside, it means you have succeeded. And how much money you have made on your way is the third or fourth question… You would hear a lot: do it like someone else. I advise everybody to find your own way to success, listen to your heart, and search for your opportunities, competitive advantages for your business or for yourself as a person… And find yourself; find your way,” Igor Liski mentioned while sharing his views.

“I consider flexibility the main attribute of success–namely, the ability to adapt and be open to change. The second attribute, I would say, is modesty, because it is impossible to learn anything without it. Modesty is an indispensable condition of any learning process. And third is courage, because you should always take a risk and be involved in the process of achieving your goals,” GrazianoCameli supposed.

At the end of the first day of the Summit,the ceremony of awarding the best companies and top-managers by results of the most respectable ratings from TOP 100, dedicated to Ukrainian business, was held. First place in the rating of biggest Ukrainian companies by profit was taken by METINVEST holding, which received 100,406 million UAH profit in 2012. Naftogaz of Ukraine and DTEK took second and third places respectively.

Best top-managers in various categories of business were recognized: Igor Yushko, Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of Russia; Igor Syryy, General Director of Metinvest Holding; Alexey Vadaturskiy, General Director of Nibulon; Maxim Timchenko, General Director of DTEK; VitaliyAntonov, Chief Executive Officer of Concern Galnaftogaz; Alexander Khalin, General Director of OSTCHEM; JacekMejzner, Chairman of the Boardof Alfa Strakhuvannya; VladymirSimonchuk, Chairman of the Board of UNIQA Life; Sergey Oksanych, President of KINTO; Tomas Fiala, Chief Executive Officer of Dragon Capital.

“I was happy to visit this unique, dynamic event filled with a positive business atmosphere. It was very interesting to hear motivational speeches and practical cases from colleagues, who sincerely shared their life experience.
