Alex Polin Executive Search Shares Knowledge of the Labor Market with Future University Graduates
On April 18, 2012, Alex Polin Executive Search Managing Partner Alexander Polyanchuk and Partner Nataliya Zhakina participated in a round-table discussion with students from the Kiev National Institute of Culture and Arts on the theme “The Peculiarities of a Modern Economy in Market Conditions: Employment Prospects.”

The discussion, covering key issues of modern economic education and employment prospects, drew students of the Management and Economics faculty, teachers from the Department of Economics, and other invited guests.

Raisa Kaminska, a certified auditor of Ukraine and Director of the auditing firm KMK, introduced a company management’s main leverage and methods for improving operational, investment and financial performance. Issues about legislative regulation of economic activity in Ukraine caused a lively debate; the guests eagerly disputed the advantages and disadvantages of the recently adopted tax code.

Alexander Polyanchuk’s speech aroused a keen interest from the audience while describing several core features of HR policy pertaining to the employment of graduates from the economic faculties. He listed the main criteria for the selection of new employees, and gave practical advice to graduates about how to make the most successful transition from school to career.

Lyudmila Khomchenko, Deputy Head of the Economics Department, characterized the modern methods of recruiting students and gave some tips to avoid common mistakes when searching for employment.

Finally, Elena Tymoshenko, Head of the Economics Department, thanked the guests for a constructive dialogue and giving students the opportunity to gain valuable first-hand information.
